Congratulations to Our 2026 DCAEYC Scholarship Winners!

We have some exciting news to share! DCAEYC is pleased to announce Keena Howse and Carmencita Jones as the recipients of this year's scholarships to attend the 2026 NAEYC Annual Conference, taking place December 5 through 8 in Washington, DC.

Both were selected through a random drawing open to current DCAEYC members, and we couldn't be happier to celebrate them!

This year's conference is especially exciting for our DC community. Not only is the event returning to Washington, but it also coincides with NAEYC's 100th anniversary, bringing early childhood education professionals from across the country together for several days of learning, professional development, and connection.

For Keena and Carmencita, this is an opportunity to explore new ideas, learn from colleagues across the field, and take part in conversations about the issues and practices that matter most to early childhood educators.

Supporting our members' professional growth is an important part of what we do at DCAEYC. Through opportunities like this scholarship, we hope to help more educators access experiences that support their work and recognize the dedication they bring to children and families throughout Washington, DC.
