Throughout April, DCAEYC’s Month of the Young Child 2026 agenda reflects our commitment to celebrating young children not only by sharing activity ideas and resources for teachers, but also by being present alongside our community and partners across the District. Through site visits, special events, professional gatherings, and collaborative opportunities, this month’s schedule highlights connection, shared learning, and the collective work of supporting young children and the early childhood care professionals who help them thrive every day.

Please note that DCAEYC-BCDI-DC Make a Circle film screening, DCAEYC and KAPLAN Early Learning “Celebrating ECE Professionals”, and Director's Nook in partnership with CDA Council for Professional Recognition: Elevating Professionalism: Strengthening Practice, Well-Being, and Team Culture in ECE Settings will have member-exclusive registration forms with limited spots available.
