We are pleased to share the results of the recent DCAEYC Board of Directors election and to officially welcome our newly elected board members.
Thanks to the active participation of our members, the following leaders have been elected to serve on the DCAEYC Board:
Dale Brown, Secretary
Johnathaan Pannell, Vice President of Membership
Austin Lee, At-Large
Brandon Howard, At-Large
Throughout the election process, members had the opportunity to hear directly from each candidate during our December Meet the Candidates conversation and through our In Their Own Words series, which highlighted the experiences, perspectives, and priorities each candidate brings to the table.
The Board of Directors plays a critical role in guiding DCAEYC’s mission, strengthening member engagement, and advancing high-quality early childhood education across the District of Columbia. We are confident that this new group of board members brings a strong mix of experience, passion, and commitment to the field.
We extend our sincere congratulations to the newly elected board members and our appreciation to all candidates who stepped forward to serve. Thank you as well to every DCAEYC member who participated in the voting process. Your engagement helps ensure that our leadership reflects the voices and needs of our community.
We look forward to working together in the months ahead as we continue to support early childhood educators, families, and programs throughout the District.
