New Year Resolutions from the DCAEYC Community

To begin 2026, DCAEYC invited members to share their New Year resolutions across our social media channels. During the first weeks of January, we highlighted reflections from members whose voices reflect the realities, hopes, and priorities shaping early childhood education today.

Together, these messages point to a shared vision for the year ahead, one rooted in equity, stability, advocacy, and respect for early childhood care professionals.

Bridget Hall

Bridget’s reflection emphasizes the importance of meaningful collaboration between policymakers and early childhood care professionals. Her message speaks to the need for inclusion at decision making tables, recognition of the workforce as essential, and stability in pay equity for educators who support families every day.

Simeon Lehmann

Simeon’s resolution focuses on expanding impact, supporting more families, and ensuring that early childhood care professionals have access to fair compensation, healthcare benefits, and transparent communication. His message reflects DCAEYC’s commitment to building systems grounded in trust and shared responsibility.

Rayven Shelton

Rayven’s reflection highlights advocacy, professional growth, and the long term impact of investing in the early childhood workforce. Her perspective reinforces the connection between supporting educators today and shaping strong communities for the future.

As we move through 2026, these member voices continue to inform and strengthen DCAEYC’s work. We are grateful to our members for sharing their goals and for standing with us as we advocate for a more equitable and sustainable early childhood system.
