DCAEYC is proud to announce to our member the launch of a new Directors’ Nook Leadership Series, a four-part, in-person professional development opportunity created to strengthen leadership, vision, and connection across the District’s early childhood community.
Building on the success of past Directors’ Nook gatherings, this new series brings a refreshed approach designed for the moment we’re in: one that emphasizes collaboration, real-world problem-solving, and peer support in a time of constant change.
Each session focuses on a key area of leadership and offers tools that directors can apply immediately within their centers and programs. Participants will explore adaptive leadership, workforce stability, communication and culture, and purpose-driven advocacy, all through the lens of sustainability and community care.

Why This Series Matters
Early childhood directors are at the heart of every program’s success. They manage complex systems, support educators, and sustain the environments where children grow and thrive. The Directors’ Nook Leadership Series creates space for reflection, connection, and renewal, because strong leadership builds strong programs.
